Albion confirm squad numbers with Mitoma taking March’s No.7

Brighton and Hove Albion have confirmed the squad shirt numbers that players will wear during the forthcoming campaign.

The numbering system largely mirrors what was used during pre-season preparations, with one notable addition to the official registration.

The club’s published list features several players who are expected to depart on temporary deals before the transfer window closes.

One significant change sees the experienced German midfielder Pascal Gross reassume his customary number thirteen shirt.

Jack Hinshelwood has switched to the number eight that was previously worn by Brajan Gruda.

The departure of Solly March has resulted in Japanese international Kaoru Mitoma taking the number seven, which he sports when representing his country.

Amario Cozier-Duberry has inherited the number twenty-two that Mitoma vacated.

Recent arrival Promise David, who joined on loan from Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise, has been allocated the number twelve shirt.

The club released the complete squad registration list in full this morning.

The document shows Bart Verbruggen in the number one position, with Igor Julio assigned three and Pascal Struijk taking four.

Captain Lewis Dunk wears five, while Georginio Rutter occupies the number ten shirt.

Young striker Stefanos Tzimas takes nine, with Georginio Rutter at ten and Yankuba Minteh at eleven.

Further down the list, Ibrahim Osman wears sixteen, Eiran Cashin seventeen, Carlos Baleba nineteen, and Charalampos Kostoulas twenty.

Joao Costinha is at twenty-one, with Olivier Boscagli at twenty-two and Jason Steele at twenty-three.

New signing Ferdi Kadioglu has been given twenty-five, while Diego Gomez takes twenty-six and Yasin Ayari twenty-seven.

Mats Wieffer wears twenty-eight, with Evan Ferguson assigned twenty-nine following his addition to the official registration.

Maxim De Cuyper takes thirty, Michael Svoboda thirty-three, Matt O’Riley thirty-five, Malick Yalcouye thirty-six, Zadok Yohanna thirty-eight, Tom McGill forty-four, and Luka Vuskovic completes the list.
