Jack Hinshelwood has stated that opponents cannot purchase Brighton’s spirit after his brace secured a comfortable victory over Aston Villa.
The Seagulls ran out 4-0 victors without Carlos Baleba, who appears destined for Manchester United, and Yankuba Minteh, who has attracted interest from Liverpool.
Both players sat out the match through injury, though Baleba’s transfer is progressing significantly.
Youth academy graduate Hinshelwood commented that the squad contains numerous exceptional talents and that everyone will be required throughout the season.
He expressed enthusiasm about the situation, noting that the dressing room possesses tremendous confidence.
He acknowledged that wealthy clubs could potentially acquire their best players, but insisted that what exists within their changing room cannot be purchased.
According to Hinshelwood, that unity represents the most precious aspect, explaining that when they take to the field, every player is prepared to give everything for their teammates.
He stated that Saturday’s display demonstrated genuine team effort.
Hinshelwood mentioned he never doubted securing an opening-day victory and was pleased with how the match unfolded.
He noted that they endured early pressure from their opponents for approximately five minutes before managing to impose their own tempo and vigour on the contest.
He recalled that each attack seemed destined to find the net, which proved deeply satisfying, and arriving at half-time with a four-goal advantage felt excellent.
He admitted that maintaining that same drive proved challenging in the second half as Villa, reduced to ten men, adopted a defensive approach.
However, he considered it a thoroughly professional display.
