Jaouen Hadjam will aim to help Albion secure memorable achievements after putting pen to paper on a prolonged contract.
The Algeria defender featured alongside a copy of The Argus for his introduction footage and spent time at another popular establishment in the city, the North African dining spot Blue Man.
Hadjam has arrived from Young Boys in Switzerland on a five-year arrangement costing £9.5 million.
He featured at the recent World Cup and showed considerable development during his spell at Young Boys, having earlier featured for Paris FC and Nantes.

Albion’s sporting director Mike Cave commented that the club views Jaouen as an excellent acquisition that will bolster their already solid defensive resources.
He noted that the player is a contemporary left-back recognised for his speed, contribution going forward and technical qualities that align nicely with their tactical approach.
Cave added that the player demonstrated his adaptability across various positions during his time in Switzerland and the club anticipate collaborating with him.
Hadjam entered the world in Paris to Algerian heritage and featured for France across youth categories.
His arrival presents an interesting option given that Ferdi Kadioglu claimed the club’s player of the season award last term operating at left-back.
The club also recruited left-back Maxim De Cuyper from Club Brugge the previous summer.
Kadioglu is capable of featuring on either flank while De Cuyper, who operated as a winger during his youth career, has appeared more comfortable in higher positions within the demanding atmosphere of the Premier League.
