Wolverhampton Wanderers have emerged as the newest suitor for Brighton winger Amario Cozier-Duberry.
The Molineux club, currently operating in the second tier, are understood by West Midlands-based sources to be tracking the ex-Arsenal youth player, with Scottish giants Rangers having reportedly seen a £7 million offer turned down.
League One side Bolton are keen to re-sign the young attacker after an impressive loan stint with them last season.
Interest from clubs on the continent is also believed to exist.
Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler indicated during the recent pre-season tour of Vienna that he was weighing up whether to retain Cozier-Duberry for the upcoming campaign.
However, his omission from the matchday squad in the final warm-up encounter, which took place at the Amex Stadium against Bologna, seems to have drawn attention from potential buyers.
With Kaoru Mitoma and Yankuba Minteh unavailable, Hurzeler introduced Ibrahim Osman and Zadok Yohanna from the bench during the second half, while Cozier-Duberry watched from the sidelines.
Further clarity may emerge once Brighton’s Conference League qualifying tie against Tromso concludes.
Scouts from various clubs will be eager to examine the starting lineup announced for the Norwegian fixture.
The Seagulls are scheduled to hold training sessions in Lancing prior to their midweek departure to Norway.
Hurzeler and one of his players will address reporters in Tromso on the eve of the match.
